I bought this product after I saw an advertising add in the newspaper. I bought it mostly to prevent the blemishes from forming and to treat them after they'd formed. I does not work for me. I apply as many as 10 times a day, and the blemish is still there, even days, sometimes weeks after. I think it actually makes the blemishes appear longer than they should. The one thing it does though, is relieve from pain and inflammation. THAT IS IT!!!
For 18 bucks it is a rip off.

This product works very well if you have a few break outs once a month and is also good for pre-menopausal break outs. It has sulfur in it which kills the bacteria causing break outs. It is not for cystic acne. There is a reason that it is called acne SPOT treatment. If you have serious acne this alone is not going to work - you need a full system--plus, wash your face morning and night, never go to bed with makeup on, clean your make up brushes daily, change your pillow cases more often, check and see if your hair products are causing acne (they can esp if you have long hair), drink lots of water, stop the junk food/process foods/soft drinks, and exercise each day. Plus watch if you take vitamins, some will cause serious acne.

I agree with the previous reviewer... this product makes blemishes WAY worse. I've had it for years and basically wrote it off as a lousy product. But a few days ago, I felt a pimple brewing and it was the only thing I had. I put it on nightly and now I've this mutant zit that won't go away! It looks like a boil. A previous review said this product gave her cystic acne and a scar. I pray that's not where I am heading. My brother is a dermatologist... he lives in another state and I hate to bother him with issues like this... but I pray he has a remedy. DO NOT BUY.
I received a sample bottle of the acne spot treatment and it works incredibly well on my pimples. A SMALL drop (we're talking less than a pin head size) applied to a potential pimple, and the next day it's gone. I'm surprised reading the previous reviews that people got more breakouts. I'm wondering if they were slathering it on like face cream. I believe the spot acne treatment can only be used very sparingly. I plan on purchasing a full bottle once the sample size is done. I can't see living without this!

HORRIBLE PRODUCT!!!!!!!
I used the acne kit and it ruined my skin. I only had one or two pimples on my face when i began, two weeks later i had a total of 25 pimples on my face and more coming everyday. I got some small itchy bumps around my chin, it was horrible. I would never want anyone else to experience what i had to go through. Trust me do not use this product!!!!!!!!
GOT THIS AS PART OF THE WHOLE ACNE KIT, ALL I CAN SAY IS THIS PRODUCT IS AWFUL! IT MADE ME BREAK OUT FOR MONTHS AND THEN SOME, AND MOST OF ALL IT SCARRED MY SKIN, I DIDN'T HAVE THE SCARS BEFORE TRYING MURAD AND I WISH I HADN'T, WISH I HAD ORDERED MORE PROACTIV, LEARNED MY LESSON THOUGH. NOW I AM LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO GET RID OF ALL THE SCARS THIS PRODUCT GAVE ME. HATE IT
I have to agree with the person who said it dried out their skin and did nothing for breakouts. Same here. I've used prescription sulfer gel (Novacet) with great success so I thought I'd try this. BAD decision. It left my skin red and itchy and did absolutely nothing for my acne. Don't waste your money.
This dried out my skin terribly and at the same time, did nothing for my pimples. it did not help with breakouts at all. It just make my skin turn red and peel :-(
